I Received A Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Check And I’m Pissed!

I am upset again.

So I received ANOTHER check in the mail.

First of all, I am so glad they keep finding me.

I’ve moved 3 times in the last 10 years (wait, that’s pretty good).

This is why I always make sure I head to the post office to update all of my info.

I also received a letter stating there’s another class action lawsuit pending with Bank of America.

Don’t ignore these pieces of mail.

9 times out of 10 you actually don’t need to do anything but if there’s a slim chance you do, you make sure you will not miss out on any money!

Don’t get me wrong, I really love getting checks on the mail.

But I HATE getting screwed.

These checks pretty much mean, yeah we screwed you, we got busted, and yeah, here’s your hard earned money back (the money that we stole).

So how do we stop the madness?

Be picky with how you spend your hard earned money.

I’ve gotten 3 checks from mortgage companies.  And I’ll admit I did NOT have an attorney with me at the closing table.

Would that have made a difference? I don’t know.  But I’d at least felt better…Right?

My most recent class action check is from Herbalife.

Here’s what it says:

“According to a lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission, Herbalife encouraged distributors to buy product even if they couldn’t sell it, and misled people about how much they could make.  To settle the lawsuit, they agreed to pay $200 million to provide refunds.”

uh, aren’t there like a million other companies doing the exact same thing tho (their names rhyme with rayvon and Karry Mae).

I really don’t think this was fair to Herbalife.

I tried Herbalife because I teach fitness classes and I wanted to try their line of fitness products.  I ended up being allergic to most of their items so I made a pretty quick exit.

Who cares about the promises of making a million dollars and paid off cars and blah blah blah?

If you believe all of that hype, I’ll leave you with this quote, “A fool and his money is easily parted.”

(emphasis on EASILY).

You can make all of your dreams come true WITHOUT recruiting your friends to sell products.
