I’m having a great time while on vacation.
I also had a not so great time (we’ll call it an ungreat time).
Crazy things CAN happen while on vacation (My friend fell out of the golf cart and needed stitches and I got food poisoning). (My stomach was like, can you please stop eating this food!)
That is why you need to make sure you are properly covered before you go!
When you receive medical care while out of the country, you pay up front (and they prefer cash) and then your insurance companywill reimburse you. Please remember to get a receipt!
It also helps to have the google hangouts app. You can make FREE phone calls! You just need wifi and a free google voice phone number. This is helpful so you can call your doctor.
Also check with your credit card company to see what kind of travel insurance is automatically included too.
I also heard that USAA is awesome about taking care of their peeps in any situation at all times (Would anyone like to sponsor me please?)

Since that trip to the Dominican Republic I’ve traveled to Curacao, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Milan, Venice, Hawaii, Iceland, Paris and St Croix. And travel insurance is a MUST. Things happen all the time. So please make sure you protect yourself and your purchase.
There are countless travel groups and tutorials that can help you pick what’s best for you.
Trust the advice of someone who travels and not the advice of someone who is just trying to sell you insurance. Being a part of travel groups will allow you to ask individuals questions about their experiences-the good, the bad and the ugly-with different insurance companies.
