I ran across a super cool article on WTOP.com!
How to Find Your Financial Soul Mate
A statistic that really stood out to me was:
73 percent of respondents would prefer a partner who is good with money over one who is physically attractive (the preference of 23 percent).
I agree with that statement.
I’d 100% prefer a hottie who’d be responsible with his money. But good looks don’t compensate for a bad attitude or fiscal irresponsibility.
There was a time in my life when I was not good with money but I was also not (mentally) ready to join my finances with anyone else (which means I was not quite a grown-up yet).
Now that I’ve got my financial life in order, I’d say I’d make that judgment call based on the guy’s heart.
What’s in his heart would trump financial mistakes (only a few tho). AND what’s in his heart would trump good looks (for sure)!
