An Introduction To The Wayback Machine

Hello Sophisticated Spenders!

This blog has been thru a lot of ups and downs.

I started the blog on May 16, 2011 (to see first post, click here).

I lost everything twice!

The first time to hackers.

And the second time to hackers too!

The first time I lost everything I didn’t have any backups at all.

So I started all over from scratch.

The second time I thought I had backups but realized I didn’t (and then I fired everybody).

But I at least had at least subscribed to my blog so that I had an emailed copy of each post.

Why am I telling you all of this?

In comes the wayback machine!

According to Wikipedia, the wayback machine is:

The Wayback Machine is a digital archive of the World Wide Web and other information on the Internetcreated by the Internet Archive, a non-profit organization, based in San Francisco, California.  The service enables users to see archived versions of web pages across time, which the Archive calls a “three dimensional index.”

This is awesome!

That means I can go back in time to see all of my old blog posts!

So I will take a trip down memory lane a few times per month and post a few of the good ones!

Click here (any of the bold letters) and then type in sohpisticatedspender.com to browse!  Or try out any website you’d like!
