October Stats and November Goals

2014-11-03

Hello Sophisticated Spenders!

Winter is here and I’m SO not ready for it!

Shout out to all of my readers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Time to update my monthly stats and goals!

Here are some numbers from October:

Readership:

In October we had 759 views.  That’s down from 1,006 views in September.  My blog is suffering!  I can’t explain the lower numbers.

Twitter followers: 516 (an increase of 19)

Facebook page likes: 226 (increase of 2)

Side Hustle Income:

Blog: $0! (Same as last month, and the month before that)

Zumba/Insanity: $850.21 All fitness income is going into a separate account for now.  Not sure what I’ll do with the money at this point in time (This money is burning a hole in my pocket.  I am dying to spend it!)

eBay: $0  I failed at eBay because I did not list anything.

Update on goals:

1:  Smart Menu Planning Challenge.  Click here to read about my smart meal planning challenge.  FAIL!  This was a partial fail.  I cooked a new meal on Sunday and it was very good.  Problem is, by Wednesday I was tired of eating the same food and was not in a cooking mood.  I went to happy hour a few times and bought lunch at work.  But I managed to somehow stay under budget.  So that’s technically not a fail because I didn’t break my budget.

2: Take Fitness photos!  One of my Insanity students is a photographer.  I hope to get some professional fitness photos taken sometime soon.  FAIL!  I may table this goal until I am serious about getting my professional fitness life together.

3: Reading!  I need to cancel some of the magazines that I do not read.  I’m not quite sure how I am subscribed to so many.  But I will get this under control in October!  PASS!  I read around 5 or 6 magazines last month.  I will knock out more reading this month too.  I did fail at canceling the magazines that I don’t like.

4: Time management!  This is a new goal.  I need to spend 2-3 hours per day on something-anything!  I need a consistent schedule.

5:  Blog Updates!  (new) I need to figure out why my numbers are decreasing.  I will spend at least 5 hours per week trying to figure that out!

6:  Newsletter!  I have been “writing” a newsletter since Jan.  I hope to finish it this year.  I’m aiming for only 2 pages but it’s been pretty tough!  FAIL!  I did not look at said newsletter in October.

7:  EBay!  (new) I will follow the lead of JMoney from Budgets Are Sexy and list 1 item per week.  I will set a reminder in my calendar to list an item on Fridays.  I’m not sure why he picked This day of the week but I will jump on board asap!

Net worth! (new)  I calculated my net worth.  As of October 2014, I’m somewhere in the neighborhood of $53,000.  That really doesn’t say much.  But I will break that number down in a future post!

What are your goals for November? Did you accomplish all of your October goals?  Will you list 1 item on eBay per week with me?

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
