Hello Sophisticated Spenders!
Goodbye summer!
OMG! I think I hate winter.
I need to move to a warmer climate-stat!
I can’t Thank you enough for reading!
And welcome to all of my new readers.
Thanks for stopping by!
Here are some numbers for September:
Readership:
In September we had 1,006 views. It’s a little lower than last month (39 less readers this month). But I still consider anything over 1,000 awesome. My first blog post had 7 views!
Twitter followers: 497 (an increase of 40 follers)
Facebook page likes: 224 (increase of 8)
Side Hustle Income:
Blog: $0! (Same as last month)
Zumba/Insanity: $666.16 All fitness income is going into a separate account for now. Not sure what I’ll do with the money at this point in time.
eBay: $29.09 (I failed at eBay last month. I will tell you all about that later! In a nutshell…I had $96.12 in sales but paid $67.03 in shipping and fees)
Update on goals:
1: Try a new recipe. A reader sent me a recipe for a Black Eye Pea Salad. I plan on making this sometime soon! FAIL! I cooked normal and usual meals all week.
2: Take Fitness photos! One of my Insanity students is a photographer. I hope to get some professional fitness photos taken sometime soon. FAIL! I asked said student to take photos but I kept saying, “oh, not today!”
3: Reading! I need to cancel some of the magazines that I do not read. I’m not quite sure how I am subscribed to so many. But I will get this under control in September! FAIL! I read maybe 1 magazine last month.
4: Meal Planning! I gained a few pounds in August because of all of the free birthday meals. I am starting the week with home made taco salad! FAIL! I had a blast in New Orleans and have 0 regrets about all of the great food that I ate! But I didn’t go overboard.
5: Newsletter! I have been “writing” a newsletter since Jan. I hope to finish it this year. I’m aiming for only 2 pages but it’s been pretty tough! FAIL! I believe I added 2 lines to said newsletter.
In October, I will recycle all goals and work on my blog. After attending FINCON14 (the personal financial bloggers conference) I wanted to quit blogging. I had the pleasure of meeting ALL of my blogging heroes and felt ashamed that I hadn’t reached the same rockstar-dom. And I know you’re not supposed to compare yourself to others and blah blah blah. But that’s simply how I felt.
So I’m hoping to further do more blog makeover-ing and things along those lines.
What are your goals for October? Did you accomplish all of your September goals?
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
