Where’s Your Emergency Fund?

Hello Sophisticated Spenders!

I wouldn’t be a friend if I didn’t ask you this question:

Where’s your emergency fund?

How much money do you have socked away in case of emergency?

I’m pretty sure you’ve spent money going out to eat, buying new clothes, watching tv (cable) and talking (cellphone).

But how much have you SAVED?

I currently have 6 month’s of living expenses in my savings account.

You may pick any number that is comfortable to you!

This is VERY important. (hello? anyone remember that Government shutdownlast year?)

I want all of my readers to be financially fit and secure.

EVEN if it costs you a couple of months of cable (Watch TV for free online or at the library).

EVEN if it costs you that new pair of boots (Can’t pay rent in shoes).

EVEN if it costs you that shiny new electronic device (that will NOT keep you warm if your heat is shut off).

Where’s your emergency fund????

I also would like to know your thoughts on cash.

I’m trying to figure out a good amount of cash to have on hand in case of a digital emergency.

I actually am clueless when it comes to carrying cash (I almost NEVER carry cash).

So I’d love to know what YOU think!

How much cash should we have stashed in our homes (or offices and cars) in case of emergency?

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
